Fossil Ridge had won three straight games and Malachai Egbuji did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The Fossil Ridge SaberCats had just enough and edged the Fort Collins Lambkins out 50-47 thanks in part to Egbuji, who went 7 for 11 to rack up 14 points and seven rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played.

Fort Collins' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Burkett, who posted 13 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Henry Peterson, who earned 11 points.

Fossil Ridge's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Fort Collins, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
