Soccer Recap: Lubbock-Cooper's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Lubbock-Cooper won the last time they faced Plainview and things went their way on Friday too. The Lubbock-Cooper Pirates walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Plainview Bulldogs. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 616th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lubbock-Cooper's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Plainview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-12 record this season.

Lubbock-Cooper will head out to square off against Coronado at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Plainview, they will host Palo Duro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
