The Show Low Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Show Low sitting on 15 straight wins and Blue Ridge on five.
Show Low's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Alchesay.

The result came thanks to Bode Kenney's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Karter Alexander, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Blue Ridge made easy work of ALA - Ironwood on Saturday and carried off a 10-3 win. Considering the Yellow Jackets have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Blue Ridge also got a great performance from Hunter Baskins as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits.
At the plate, Blue Ridge let Brenton Newcomb and Brody Ellsworth run wild. Newcomb went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double, while Ellsworth got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Ellsworth continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Graesyn Kendzlic also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Show Low's record is now 23-3. As for Blue Ridge, their record now sits at 13-10.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Show Low has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. However, it's not like Blue Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
