Football Game Preview: West Point Warriors vs. Ardmore Tigers

The West Point Warriors will face off against the Ardmore Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-14, which was the final score in West Point's tilt against Russellville on Friday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Golden Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Ardmore entered their tilt with East Limestone on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Indians with points to spare, taking the game 35-16.

Ardmore's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for West Point, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

West Point ended up a good deal behind Ardmore in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 27-13. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Tigers' Zavion Hawthorne, who rushed for 175 yards and one TD on only ten carries. Now that the Warriors know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
