Volleyball Recap: Goldsboro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Goldsboro and Wallace-Rose Hill, and Wallace-Rose Hill kept the tradition alive. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2020.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 21-25, 25-20.

Aziyah Boyer paced Goldsboro's offense, picking up ten kills. Boyer got some help from Ava Westbrook and her seven assists. Brylie Reaves controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Goldsboro dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Goldsboro will square off against Beddingfield at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will challenge Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
