Soccer Recap: Normal University Takes a Loss

Normal University saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 4-1 to the St. Charles East Fighting Saints. While losing is never fun, Normal University can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 130th, while St. Charles East are ranked 34th).

Normal University's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-3. As for St. Charles East, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Normal University will head out to face off against Sacred Heart-Griffin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Charles East, they will venture away from home to square off against Lake Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
