Valley View won the last time they faced Searcy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Blazers walked away with a 10-7 win over the Lions.

Aubrey Burton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Racey Talley, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 games. Ellie Dawson was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and two RBI.

Valley View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive contests.

Valley View's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Searcy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Valley View beat Searcy by a score of 15-3 later that day.
