Basketball Recap: Whitefish Township Takes a Loss

Whitefish Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mackinac Island Lakers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-39 on Friday.

Whitefish Township's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mackinac Island, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitefish Township will venture away from home to challenge Beaver Island at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mackinac Island, they will face off against Munising Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
