Stearns is 8-2 against Penquis Valley since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Stearns Minutemen will venture away from home to challenge the Penquis Valley Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Stearns will be strutting in after a victory while Penquis Valley will be coming in after a defeat.

Stearns took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took down Greenville 49-30.

Meanwhile, Penquis Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Schenck 73-29.

Stearns' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Penquis Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Stearns was able to grind out a solid victory over Penquis Valley in their previous meeting back in February, winning 59-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stearns since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
