Vail Christian's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They managed a 52-46 victory over the Caprock Academy Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

Vail Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Oliver Neumann, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 18 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Neumann a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayman Romanin, who posted nine points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Vail Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caprock Academy only five offensive rebounds.

Caprock Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Holt, who scored 13 points and three steals. Tristin Bird was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Vail Christian now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Caprock Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Vail Christian is taking a road trip to challenge Lotus School For Excellence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Caprock Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
