Softball Game Preview: Manor Mustangs vs. Round Rock Westwood Warriors

Manor hasn't had much luck against Round Rock Westwood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Manor will venture away from home to face off against Round Rock Westwood at 6:00 p.m. Manor has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Manor is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against McNeil, falling 24-12. Even if the Mustangs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Manor got a massive performance out of Andrea Ovalle, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Ovalle a new career-high. Sarah Ovalle was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Round Rock Westwood fell victim to Stony Point and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Manor's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Round Rock Westwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Manor suffered a grim 18-1 defeat to Round Rock Westwood in their previous matchup back in February. Can Manor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
