Football Recap: Knightdale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Knightdale had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it four. They fell 32-23 to the Heritage Huskies. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 27-21 to the Huskies when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Knightdale still got an impressive performance from Jamel Perry, who rushed for 99 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 218 yards and a pair of TDs. Le'Eric Cooper was Perry's top target, picking up 106 receiving yards and one score.

As for Heritage, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly nine points.

Jhon Carela-Pantaleon had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 189 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those 189 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Travis Holmes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Knightdale has already played their next matchup, a 64-14 victory against East Wake on the 31st. As for Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 24-3 defeat against Wake Forest on the 31st.
