Football Game Recap: Round Lake vs. Grayslake North

Grayslake North won the last time they met up with Round Lake, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Grayslake North took the matchup and then some with a 54-6 victory on Friday over Round Lake. The success made it back-to-back wins for Grayslake North.

Grayslake North's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 41 first-half points. Round Lake countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 41-6 going into the half. The Grayslake North defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. The win bumped Grayslake North's record up to 2-4. The loss dropped Round Lake's record to 1-5.

Next week Grayslake North take on Wauconda at 7:15 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Grayslake North and Wauconda will really light up the scoreboard. Round Lake will stay at home against Antioch at 7:15 PM. Round Lake stagger into the match hobbled by four consecutive losses while Antioch skip in buoyed by six consecutive wins.
