Preview: Imhotep Charter Panthers vs. Archbishop Wood Vikings
The Imhotep Charter Panthers will take on the Archbishop Wood Vikings in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at. Imhotep Charter will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Even though Constitution scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Imhotep Charter still came out on top. The stars were shining brightly for Imhotep Charter in a 72-57 victory over Constitution. Given Imhotep Charter's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Constitution is ranked 36th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Wood scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 84-54 win over Salesianum. The win was just what Archbishop Wood needed coming off of a 75-51 defeat in their prior matchup.
Imhotep Charter's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Archbishop Wood, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
