Potlatch proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Kamiah Kubs 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Loggers in their matchups with the Kubs: they've now won four in a row.

Potlatch had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-8.

Potlatch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Macy Spinelli, who had ten assists and three digs.

Potlatch was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive games.

Potlatch's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Kamiah, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Potlatch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Clearwater Valley on the 20th. As for Kamiah, they will square off against Lapwai at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
