Soccer Game Preview: Eureka vs. Pembroke Hill

The Eureka Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Pembroke Hill Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Eureka turned things around against Hazelwood Central on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hawks an 8-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Eureka's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pembroke Hill). Everything went their way against Pleasant Hill on Thursday as they made off with an 8-0 win. Pembroke Hill haven't had any issues with Pleasant Hill recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Pembroke Hill now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Eureka, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
