Baseball Recap: Jackson Day Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jackson Day can now relate to. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons on Tuesday. The Mariners haven't had much luck with the Gryphons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jackson Day saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dean Lister, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Jackson Day's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

As of now, neither Jackson Day nor the Gryphons have any future games scheduled.
