Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forest Park). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Perry Central Commodores a 21-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Rangers have won six games by more than 11 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Forest Park back to even at 10-10. As for Perry Central, they moved to 13-12 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Forest Park and Perry Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Rangers will challenge Evansville North at 11:00 a.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (132 vs. 27). Meanwhile, Perry Central (ranked 238th) will meet Evansville Mater Dei (ranked 28th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
