Wendell had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 67-61 W against the Gooding Senators. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Senators back in December of 2024, they had to take a 56-53 loss.

Wendell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Swainston led the charge by going 7 of 16 to rack up 21 points. The matchup was Swainston's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jordon Swainston, who went 6 for 14 en route to 19 points.

Wendell pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points over those games. As for Gooding, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Wendell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-48 loss against Soda Springs on the 5th. As for Gooding, they have also already played their next contest, a 47-33 win against Buhl on the 7th.
