Recap: Windsor Wizards vs. Mead Mavericks

The Windsor Wizards stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Mead with a sharp 65-43 win. Winning may never get old, but Windsor sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windsor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madden Smiley, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Kingsley, who scored 15 points.

Despite the loss, Mead still got an impressive performance from Matthew Angelo, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Averey Baucom, who scored eight points.

Windsor pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points per game. As for Mead, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will stay at home for another game and welcome Holy Family at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Holy Family focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Mead, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Greeley Central at 7:00 p.m. Greeley Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Mead is ranked 34th).
