Soccer Game Preview: Pebble Hills vs. Eastwood

The Pebble Hills Spartans will head out to face off against the Eastwood Troopers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pebble Hills' last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Pebble Hills fell victim to Montwood and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 159th in Texas, while the Rams are ranked 322nd in Texas).

Meanwhile, Eastwood's and Franklin's matchup on Tuesday was close at halftime, but Eastwood turned on the heat in the second half with five goals. Eastwood was the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over Franklin. The Troopers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Eastwood's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Pebble Hills, they dropped their record down to 10-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
