Volleyball Recap: Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences Comes Up Short at Home Against Lake Balboa College Prep

Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vipers have suffered since October 9, 2024.

Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lake Balboa College Prep work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-14, 25-4.

Lake Balboa College Prep now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences and Monroe will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they will challenge Sun Valley Magnet at 4:00 p.m. on September 4.
