Even though the Atkinson County Rebels have not done well against the Berrien Rebels recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Atkinson County enjoyed a cozy 62-43 win over Berrien. That 62-43 margin sets a new team best for Atkinson County this season.
Atkinson County was led to victory by Ja'Kari Northcutt and Kamari Moore. Northcutt scored 19 points, while Moore scored 29 points. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanna Williams, who scored six points.
Atkinson County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Berrien, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
