Preview: Great Mills Hornets vs. Wilde Lake Wildecats
The Great Mills Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Wilde Lake Wildecats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Great Mills has three straight wins, Wilde Lake has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Great Mills in a 39-20 victory over Lackey.
It was another big night for A'Naija Bush, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. She set a new season high mark in blocks with seven. Samara Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Wilde Lake was beaten by River Hill 72-9 on Friday. Wilde Lake has struggled against River Hill recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Great Mills pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wilde Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
