Basketball Game Preview: Central Red Devils vs. Dothan Wolves

The Central Red Devils will take on the Dothan Wolves at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Central heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They fell 62-54 to Auburn. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite their loss, Central saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jabria Lindsey, who posted 22 points and eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Marlicia Smith, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 10 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Dothan waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 55-40 victory over the Wildcats.

Dothan's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.

Everything came up roses for Central against Dothan in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 54-23 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
