After a string of five wins, Trinity's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the St. Laurence Vikings by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Shamrocks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

St. Laurence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matthew Suchecki, who had 14 assists and four digs. Suchecki has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last four times he's played.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for St. Laurence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Trinity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against St. Xavier on the 28th. As for St. Laurence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Lincoln-Way Central on the 26th.
