Basketball Game Preview: Big Spring Steers vs. Midland Bulldogs

Big Spring is 0-3 against Midland since January of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m.

Big Spring is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They fell 52-40 to Cooper.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midland). They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Bowie 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since November 20, 2023.

Big Spring's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Midland, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-11.

Big Spring came up short against Midland in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, falling 62-49. Can Big Spring avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
