Andrean came tearing into Saturday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Zionsville Eagles a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Fighting 59ers, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Andrean pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Zionsville, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-7 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrean will venture away from home to face off against Munster at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Zionsville, they will square off against Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Greyhounds' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
