Basketball Recap: Bushwick Takes a Loss

Bushwick played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 108-1 loss at the hands of the Summit Academy Eagles. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 67-0.

Summit Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Korotoumou Ballo, who went 13-for-26 en route to 31 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Ballo has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Joschlynn Young, who dropped a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals.

Bushwick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Summit Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Bushwick will be playing at home against EBC/Bushwick on Saturday. As for Summit Academy, they will challenge Taft at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
