 Bishop Hendricken had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs), and they went ahead and made it 12 on Tuesday. They never let the Portsmouth Patriots onto the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. The result was nothing new for Bishop Hendricken, who have now won ten contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
  Ryan Thompson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Thompson was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Braeden Campbell was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Griffin Crain, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Bishop Hendricken pushed their record up to 19-1-1 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Portsmouth, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record  this season.
 Bishop Hendricken will  challenge Central at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. One thing working in Bishop Hendricken's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last five games. Portsmouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
