Volleyball Game Preview: Gettysburg Battlers vs. Leola/Frederick Titans

The Gettysburg Battlers are taking a road trip to square off against the Leola/Frederick Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gettysburg will be strutting in after a victory while Leola/Frederick will be coming in after a defeat.

Gettysburg took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Battlers as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Gettysburg's got stronger as the match went on, holding Cheyenne-Eagle Butte to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-4.

Meanwhile, Leola/Frederick lost 3-0 to Sunshine Bible Academy on Friday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-10, 25-7.

Leola/Frederick has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Gettysburg, their victory bumped their record up to 8-21.
