Basketball Recap: Mahopac Takes a Loss

Mahopac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Yorktown Huskers. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Huskers are ranked 91st).

Mahopac now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Yorktown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Poughkeepsie the next time they take the court. Yorktown will head out to face Poughkeepsie at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Mahopac will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
