Recap: James Wood Colonels vs. Strasburg Rams
The James Wood Colonels lost against the Strasburg Rams back in January of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. James Wood fell 54-43 to Strasburg. James Wood has not had much luck with Strasburg recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, James Wood still got an impressive performance from Josie Russell, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Russell's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Medina, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
James Wood now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Strasburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
James Wood will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kettle Run at 7:30 p.m. As for Strasburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
