Softball Recap: Chrisman Comes Up Short

Armstrong hit Chrisman with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals lost 11-1 to the Trojans. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Chrisman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Barna, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Chrisman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Armstrong, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-7.

The Cardinals are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Armstrong, they will face off against Watseka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
