Basketball Recap: North Providence Comes Up Short

North Providence lost against Lincoln School back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The North Providence Cougars took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln School Lynx.

Despite the loss, North Providence still got an impressive performance from Makenna Heon, who went 8-for-17 to rack up 20 points. Heon has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Elyse Brassard, who posted four points and 11 boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sarah Berube, who put up 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Berube has posted since back in January. Reign Whiteing was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

North Providence's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Lincoln School, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-1.

As of now, neither North Providence nor Lincoln School have any future games scheduled.
