Football Game Preview: Tokay Tigers vs. Stagg Delta Kings

Two dominant backs in Amire Fleming and Darnell Holmes are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Tokay Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Stagg Delta Kings at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tokay comes in on three and Stagg on seven.

Tokay is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 62-8 victory over West. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tokay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Aguilar, who rushed for 18 yards and one TD, and also caught one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tokay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 332 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Tokay didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Eduardo Ochoa and Isaac Ledezma.

Meanwhile, Stagg made easy work of McNair on Friday and carried off a 32-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Delta Kings, who have now won six contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Tokay's record now sits at 6-2. As for Stagg, their record is now 7-1.

Tokay strolled past Stagg when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 28-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
