Basketball Game Preview: Loara Saxons vs. Acaciawood Golden Eagles

Loara is a perfect 3-0 against Acaciawood since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Saxons will venture away from home to face off against the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Loara knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Acaciawood likes a good challenge.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Loara and Garden Grove, and Loara kept the tradition alive. The Saxons slipped by the Argonauts 59-58 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Acaciawood is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Magnolia on Friday, but Magnolia came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Golden Eagles came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 51-50 W against the Sentinels.

Loara's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Acaciawood, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for Loara against Acaciawood in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, as the squad secured a 61-25 win. In that contest, the Saxons amassed a halftime lead of 46-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
