Basketball Recap: Myers Park Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Myers Park can now relate to. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Butler Bulldogs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 37th).

Myers Park now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Butler, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season.

Myers Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Butler, they will challenge North Mecklenburg on Friday. North Mecklenburg's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Butler's offense will have their work cut out for them.
