Recap: Hill City Rangers vs. Sundance Bulldogs
The Hill City Rangers waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 50-35 victory over Sundance. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hill City also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Sundance saw an underclassman step up: Jaylin Mills scored 22 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mills has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Marchant, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Hill City's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Sundance, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hill City will take on Belle Fourche at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Belle Fourche is ranked 53rd, while Hill City is ranked 42nd). As for Sundance, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wright at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
