Volleyball Recap: Pflugerville Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Pflugerville challenged Johnson on Friday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Jaguars. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-16.

Ashanti Bowles paced Pflugerville's offense, picking up eight kills. Bowles got some help from Katelyn Mireles and her 13 assists.

Johnson was led to victory by Sophie Haskell and Ada Farrar. Haskell had 11 digs and two aces, while Farrar had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Farrar has posted since back in August.

Pflugerville's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Johnson, they pushed their record up to 25-6 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Pflugerville will head out on the road to challenge Pflugerville Connally at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Johnson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against San Marcos on the 9th.
