Volleyball Recap: Victory Christian Vikings vs. Sacramento Waldorf Waves
Victory Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sacramento Waldorf Waves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Waves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.
Victory Christian took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 15-12.
Max Moiseyenko paced Victory Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Moiseyenko got some help from Samuel Moiseyenko and his 12 assists. Max was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.
Victory Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Sacramento Waldorf, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Victory Christian has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Forest Lake Christian on the 24th. As for Sacramento Waldorf, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Futures on the 24th.
