Baseball Recap: Hesston Picks Up 11th Straight Win on the Road

Hesston won the last time they faced Hillsboro and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Swathers put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 14-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Swathers.

Blayne Wilson was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Huxman, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Hesston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillsboro only posted an OBP of .440.

Hesston's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hillsboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
