Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Workman). They had just enough and edged out the Wilson Wildcats 14-12. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Lobos' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 555th, while the Wildcats are ranked 168th).

Although Wilson took the loss, they still got scores from Hailey Castro and Tia Gaoa.

Workman's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6-1. As for Wilson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Workman will look to defend their home field on Monday against Edgewood at 3:30 p.m. As for Wilson, they will take on Ontario at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
