Volleyball Recap: Nebraska Lutheran Knights vs. Elm Creek Buffaloes
The Nebraska Lutheran Knights didn't have quite enough to beat the Elm Creek Buffaloes on Saturday and fell 2-1.
Nebraska Lutheran couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Elm Creek a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 30-32, 25-22.
Samantha Hueske paced Nebraska Lutheran's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hueske got some help from Autumn Malchow and her 28 assists. Malchow was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Elm Creek found their leader in freshman Reece Steiner, who had 30 digs and two assists. Steiner is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
