            Basketball Recap: Calvary Saints vs. Auburn Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Calvary lost against Auburn last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. The Calvary Saints took  a  58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Auburn Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings  (they are ranked 244th, while the Trojans are ranked 42nd).

 Despite the loss, Calvary still got an impressive performance from   Luke Blackford, who  went 7 for 14  on his way to 22  points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. Blackford's evening made it eight games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Reese Huffman, who  posted nine points and four  steals.
Calvary's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Auburn, the  win was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
 Calvary is taking a road trip to  square off against Pawnee  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Calvary is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.7  points per game  this season. As for Auburn, they will challenge Riverton at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Riverton will roll in looking for their  14th straight  victory, something Auburn surely won't give up without a fight.
