Basketball Recap: Mandeville Takes Down Terrebonne in a Playoff Battle

Mandeville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Terrebonne Tigers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 67-51.

It was another big night for Alanna Benoit, who almost dropped a triple-double with 26 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Giulia Balbo, who went 8-for-11 en route to 18 points.

When it comes to explaining why Terrebonne lost, don't look at Amyja Clark. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. Those 28 points gave Clark a new career-high.

Mandeville has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Terrebonne and nudges their season record down to 23-8.

Coming up, Mandeville will square off against Walker at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Walker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season. Terrebonne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
