West Springfield took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Ludlow, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Terriers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lions 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Terriers have posted since April 19, 2024.

West Springfield moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Ludlow, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Coming up, West Springfield will host Westfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ludlow, they will challenge Hampshire Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
