Volleyball Recap: Denmark Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Denmark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Forsyth Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Denmark of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Denmark actually scored more points across those five sets (107-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 14-25, 27-25, 26-24, 15-8.

Azaria Ehima paced Denmark's offense, picking up 30 kills. Ehima got some help from Leah Johnson and her 39 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

West Forsyth found their leader in sophomore Charlie Holcomb, who had ten digs and four aces.

Denmark's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for West Forsyth, their record is now 13-11.

Denmark has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Wheeler on the 6th. As for West Forsyth, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Marist on the 6th.
