Softball Recap: Yough Cougars vs. Deer Lakes Lancers
While Yough's win against Deer Lakes wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars never let the Lancers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since March 29th.
Not much got past Jaidyn Vay, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Deer Lakes off the board. Vay has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
