Flag Football Recap: Chino Cowboys vs. Chaffey Tigers

Chino won the last time they faced Chaffey and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cowboys came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 30-18. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Tigers are ranked 447th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chino got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryanna Gonzales out in front who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. That's the most rushing yards Gonzales has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Valenzuela, who picked up 132 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Chino's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Gonzales was the leader with three.
